I have been a fan of good old fashioned, pen-and-paper, table-top role playing games since I was a wee youngin, learning the games from my father, who was one of the original RPG players during the 70’s. I still had his old Chainmail and original D&D minis, made from lead, poking around here, all painted up nice and detailed. I’m a big advocate for summer projects. It’s fun to have things to work on every weekend and feel like you’re making forward progress. Beyond the work, at the end of the summer you’ve got something you made yourself, which is awesome and so much better than that “store-bought” feeling. This summer I made a queen-size platform bed.
